PART
THREE:
Stan
Goldberg |
|
Stan Goldberg, who, like
Dan DeCarlo, would later establish the "Archie" style, took over the main
art chores for MILLIE THE MODEL with issue #94, January 1960. At
the time, Stan was a colorist, a position he retained at Marvel through
the 1960's. In fact, it was Goldberg who designed many of the color
schemes for the new heroes of the burgeoning "Marvel Universe."
Initially, Stan Goldberg--
or "Stan G." as he signed his covers-- continued in the style DeCarlo had
began. But that slowly began to change in favor of a slightly more
realistic style. |
