Welcome to the
Comic-Book Superstore's Marvel Comics Pirate Pages. Think of this
as our back issue section, where you can browse through old comics covers,
seeing things you've never heard of, or maybe things you'd only read about
but never seen. By our affiliation with Mile
High Comics, we can provide you access to the largest collection of
back issue comics on the internet. And to make it even more fun,
we've created a cover gallery to showcase some of our favorite comics (and
the large scans ARE coming--we have tons of 'em... we just can't find a
site big enough to hold them all!). |

Let's face it: The internet
is full of Marvel Comics cover galleries, showcasing Golden Age, Silver
Age, X-Men, Spider-Man, and the full gamut of Marvel Super-Heroes.
So we wanted to do something a little differently. Here, we want
to present some titles that aren't as common now as they used to be, but
that-- while they were being published-- sold far more copies than even
the best-selling X-Men comics of today. What was the secret?
Comics were for everybody. Instead of trying to get girls to read
about super-heroes, they just made comics for girls. And you didn't
have to go to a special store, where weird guys sat around playing card
games and everybody looked at you, but nobody helped you. Back when
comics were sold everywhere, anyone could buy them, and a lot more did.
So here's to those days--
sit back, relax, and enjoy!
